Masih ingat dengan fungsi =rand(10) di ms word? Lupa? Kode itu memang jarang dipakai dan fungsinya juga ga terlalu penting.

Bagi yang belum pernah menggunakan fungsi ini bisa di coba dulu.
Buka ms office kemudian di halaman yang masih kosong ketik “=rand(10)” (tanpa tanda petik) kemudian tekan enter, Apa yang terjadi?

Ya serangkaian tulisan yang diulang-ulang akan muncul.

Fungsi rand cuma berfungsi memunculkan suatu tulisan dari office dengan panjang tulisan tergantung angka yang kita masukan di dalam tanda kurung. Angka di dalam tanda kurung menunjukkan jumlah paragraph yang akan dimunculkan.

Sebenarnya apa yang muncul ketika kita mengetikkan kode ini? Pada ms word sebelum ms word 2007 kode ini akan memunculkan serangkaian tulisan yang berbunyi:

“The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.”

Itulah satu paragraph hasil dari kode rand pada ms office sebelum versi 2007.
Pada ms office 2007 kode tersebut menghasilkan tulisan yang berbeda dengan hasil diatas. Bagi yang sudah menginstal ms office 2007 bisa langsung mencobanya.
Pada ms office 2007 kode rand menghasilkan tulisan yang berbunyi :

Hasil dari kode rand pada ms word 2007 kelihatan lebih berguna dibanding tulisan yang dihasilkan oleh ms office sebelum 2007, karena berisi sedikit info tentang ms word 2007.
